NEXT Canada, formerly Next36

NEXT Canada is a program for young Canadian entrepreneurs. It was originally called The Next 36 and was cofounded in 2010 by Professor Agrawal, Reza Satchu, Tim Hodgson, and Claudia Hepburn. Its inaugural Academic Director was Professor Agrawal. 
 

NEXT Canada is a program to train and develop Canada’s next generation of entrepreneurs and to offer them support and guidance, as well as access to capital and a professional network. It is aimed at the very best young talent Canada has to offer.

NextAI

Professor Agrawal also developed a stream specific to entrepreneurship in artificial intelligence called NextAI, which is based out of Toronto. It is a program aimed at equipping Canada’s best young talent with the tools to succeed with early-stage AI business ideas.

Professor Agrawal currently serves on both the board and faculty of NEXT Canada. His coauthors of Prediction Machines, Professors Avi Goldfarb and Joshua Gans, are also on the teaching staff. Other notable institutions represented by the NEXT Canada faculty include Harvard, Georgetown, and MIT.
